Forest Hill Farms is owned and operated by Len and Heather Handasyde. They took over the family business from Robert and Flo Handasyde in 1995 after returning from overseas after a few years flying light aircraft in PNG and Central Australia.
We work hard to provide you with an excellent product and provide employment and economic input into the Mount Barker and wider Plantagenet Community and the state of Western Australia.
This is how we used to grow strawberries up to seven years ago. This was a good patch of fruit which yielded well throughout the season in about 1998.

This is one of the best crops in the ground that we ever had from 2016. A perfect Summer of growing conditions and great fruit and yields.

Initial setup of the tunnels where all production takes place now. We eventually took the top row off and built more tunnels making it all more efficient and easier for the staff who work the site.

This is how it is currently set up. Many growers now use a single row instead of this double row in a single layer.
